1. What is an Anti-Harassment Protection Order?
This order is designed to protect someone from what the law calls “unlawful harassment.” In simple terms, that means a person claims you seriously bothered, threatened, or alarmed them without a valid reason.

2. Why Respond to a Protection Order
Getting served with a protection order can be stressful, but you’re not alone. If you respond the right way and on time, you help the judge see your side and protect your rights.

3. You Don’t Have to Handle This Alone
We can answer inquiries about serving and filing a response. We also assist in serving your documents and filing them online and in-person. Our goal is to help simplify the process and make it as smooth as possible.

4. Who Can Serve Your Documents

You cannot serve your own documents. The person serving your papers must:

  • Be 18 or older
  • Not involved in your case
  • Be willing to fill out and sign a Proof of Service form
